Scottsboro,AL,USA -The Scottsboro Daily Sentinel, by Hollice Smith -Oct 6, 2006: -- A new law, which went into effect on October 1, is tougher on motorists for illegally passing a school bus while stopped to load or unload students on any Alabama highway, roadway, school property or private road... Janice Jeffery, a Scottsboro school bus driver for 23 years, issued a reminder to the media at a Scottsboro Board of Education meeting to help make people aware of the new violation laws passed statewide by the Alabama Legislature this year.... In many cases, the new penalties raise fines and makes them uniform statewide...
