DANGER: YOUTHS RIDERS - UK - Free-travel youths are scaring bus users away
Wimbledon,London,UK -The Wimbledon Guardian, by Sarah Bell -1 Oct 2006: -- Free bus passes for youngsters are causing soaring crime on buses by creating "mobile youth clubs" it is claimed this week following a report by the body which scrutinises the capital's policing... Crime on the buses between the hours of 8am to 9am and 3pm to 5pm is rising according to a report by the Metropolitan Police Authority... It says there is a correlation between the number of victims and offenders under 16 and the increase in antisocial behaviour, which police attribute the rise to the issuing of free bus passes to under-16s...
