Enforcing - UK - Transport chiefs call time on bus lane bandits
Greater Manchester,UK -GMPTE -26 June 2006: -- Members of Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority today unanimously backed Manchester City Council's move to enforce bus lanes and encouraged other Greater Manchester districts to follow suit... At the Authority's Annual General Meeting, members heard that surveys show that up to 70% of vehicles using Manchester's bus lanes are doing so illegally... In October, Manchester City Council will become the first council outside the capital to start using CCTV to enforce use of bus lanes...
