Free Internet serviceWEST COVINA,CA,USA -Whittier Daily News (Whittier,CA), by Sang Lee -24 June 2006: -- Foothill Transit bus riders will soon be traveling at speeds of up to 600kilobits per second... On Monday, the agency will install Wi-Fi Internet access for customers on six of its Line 699 buses that go from Montclair to Downtown Los Angeles... The officials further evaluate the effectiveness of wireless usage on its buses... If successful, Wi-Fi could be installed on other high traffic routes for an hourly or monthly charge. The exact charges for the service have yet to be determined by the agency and its contractor, Parsons Corp...
