Controls - India - DTC to install tamper-proof speed-control devices in buses
New Delhi,India -Cities Express News Service -24 June 2006: -- In a move to check tampering of speed governors in buses and overspeeding by its drivers, the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is planning to fit tamper-proof devices in all its buses... The buses were fitted with speed governors five years ago, but the bus drivers tampered with them easily, say DTC officials... On Friday, Anshu Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, DTC, held a meeting with suppliers of speed governors and asked them to check the devices in all buses and make the non-functional ones functional...
