Sold - UK - Australians snap up London buses
One of London's biggest bus operators has fallen into the hands of an Australian bank
UK -The Evening Standard, by James Rossiter/This is Money -23 June 2006: -- Stagecoach has sold its London Bus operations for £263.6m in cash to Macquarie Bank, handing it around 1,300 buses and 4,300 staff... The division's current boss Nigel Barrett will become the new managing director under the Australian owners... The sale needs final approval from Transport for London before it can go ahead...
