Opinion - UK - Mayhem on the buses
Wolverhampton,England,UK -expressandstar.com, letters -Apr 27, 2006: -- Bus passengers will be horrified at the prospect of children under 16 being allowed to travel free on the buses... It's a recipe for non-stop nuisance, every day of the week, but especially bad at weekends and school holidays... I just wonder if our councillors realise what mayhem they're letting us in for. It certainly won't be a vote winner for them... The scheme will allegedly cost £39 million. Does that figure include the cost of employing security guards to keep order on the buses? Or are the councillors and MPs (those who support the scheme) going to volunteer their services in this capacity?...
