Buses switch to biofuel
Langford,British Columbia,Canada -The Goldstream News Gazette, by By Rudy Haugeneder -Aug 03 2007: -- ... Ridership on the West Shore has grown 11 per cent in the last year —— 10 times higher than the rest of the Capital Region, says Ron Drolet, BC Transit’s vice-president of customer Service... Because of that, BC Transit is adding 10 large “conventional” buses and five smaller community buses to its fleet... And the new buses will run cleaner and smoother than ever before, he adds... (Photo: Increased ridership on the West Shore means BC Transit is adding 15 new buses to its fleet come September. All the new buses will be running on biodiesel — a mix of diesel and liquified soya beans and corn)
