Hopes - USA - To see increase in number of bus commuters
Raleigh,NC,USA -News 14 Carolina, by Ashley Smith -8 May 2006: -- The Triangle Transit Authority is hoping high gases prices along with free bus rides will encourage more drivers to take the bus... Last week, the TTA offered free bus rides. The promotion was in response to high gas prices. But despite their promotional efforts, most commuters admit they aren't ready to make the change... The TTA says about 3200 people ride the bus each day. That’s up 12 percent from last year and Julie Woosley of the TTA says, it’s because more people are choosing to ride the bus instead of paying high gas prices...
