Fuel cell technology - USA - Comes to state's roads
USA -TMCnet/Stamford Advocate -7 May 2006: -- The cutting edge of mass transit technology is expected to arrive in the state when the first hydrogen fuel cell bus is delivered later this year... The federally funded bus will be used by CTTransit's Hartford division as part of a demonstration project to determine the technology's efficiency and practicality... It also would be the only bus of its kind in the Northeast, CTTransit officials said... "Hydrogen is the fuel of the future"... State officials said the buses would be "significantly more" than the diesel vehicles now used, which cost more than $200,000 each...
