Purchases - USA - Credit going toward buses & firetruck
Newport News,VA,USA -Daily Press -May 5, 2006: -- James City County can spend more cash on schools and safety in fiscal 2007 because of an unexpected credit from a school financing agency, supervisors said this week... With the $914,000 credit, the county can pay $1.1 million for new school buses for the eighth elementary school and third high school... That sum, along with Williamsburg's contribution, means W-JCC likely could buy the 16 new buses the district requested for the two new schools, W-JCC's chief financial officer said... The county could also buy another fire engine for a total of two new trucks in fiscal 2007... Supervisors had planned to pay for the fire engine and buses in fiscal 2008, but they'll be cheaper if they are bought sooner, supervisors said...
