Purchase - USA - City buying smaller buses
Thunder Bay,Ontario,Canada -Thunder Bay Chronicle Journal, by JONATHAN WILSON -Dec 10, 2005: Some Thunder Bay transit users will find themselves boarding smaller buses at this time next year... City council has given preliminary approval to the purchase of two 30-foot buses in 2006 as part of a “greening the fleet” pilot project... The vehicles have room for about 26 seats and two wheelchair spaces compared to 32-36 seats on a standard 40-foot bus... The market price for smaller buses is about $340,000, compared to $460,000 for the larger ones...
