DANGEROUS SCHOOL BUSES * USA - Structural, Safety Violations Found On Some Columbus Ones
Columbus,OH,USA -10TV News HD - January 2, 2009: -- More than 20 school buses used to transport students in the Columbus City School District failed spot inspections conducted last month by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 10TV News reported on Friday... W.C. Brunk, a private company under contract with the district, provides 52 buses to transport Columbus students. Of the company's 52 buses, 22 were taken out of service because of serious structural or safety violations... During the Dec. 3 inspections, troopers found one bus with three of four stoplights not functioning. Another bus had seven broken seatbacks, 10TV's Patrick Bell reported... Some bus engines were found to be leaking oil, while others were leaking fuel by their engine blocks...
