PENALIZATION * Duibai/UAE -´Offending bus drivers face fine
Dubai,UAE -Gulf News -11 Oct 2008: -- The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has reiterated that bus drivers sometimes do not stop at stations for a number of reasons, such as a full passenger load. Also, the bus stop might not be designated for a specific bus number, said an official. The RTA receives 30 to 40 complaints every week about drivers not stopping to pick up passengers. The official said some passengers fail to notice that some bus stops are designated for inter-city buses and have distinctive markings. Stringent penalties will be taken against offending bus drivers who are now subject to a Dh300 fine if the driver fails to stop at any stop without justification...
