Shuttle service expected to thin traffic
South Brunswick Township,Middlesex County,NJ,USA -Home News Tribune Online, by LALITA ALOOR AMUTHAN -6 Dec 2007: -- The long-planned SMART shuttle service, a proposed panacea for the rising traffic in South Brunswick, is still a work-in-progress... The township has ordered nine buses; it went through a state agency to buy them. The buses won't be delivered until the first quarter of next year, the mayor said... Township officials were initially hoping to launch four routes, but now figure it's too expensive to do it all at one time — until they are sure about the usage... They are concerned about whether people will be open to the idea of taking the shuttle instead of driving to their destination...
