Officials say more than 2,300 drivers violate the school bus law every school day
Raleigh,NC,USA -Associated Press /News14 TV-15 Oct 2007: -- State troopers will watch this week for motorists who fail to stop when a school bus lets out children on North Carolina roads... Authorities will charge drivers who try to pass a bus that has stopped and extended its warning arm, according to Fletcher Clay, commander of the Highway Patrol. The charge is a misdemeanor that can bring a fine of up to $200 and five points on a driver's license... Troopers will patrol school areas and follow buses throughout the week...
