Tempe is getting ready to roll out some 20-passenger buses that will serve its downtown area and the Arizona State University campus
Tempe,AZ,USA -The Associated Press/The Arizona Daily Star (Tucson,AZ) -22 April 2007: -- The FLASH buses are the size of a small recreational vehicle and will run though neighborhoods... The plan has sparked fierce opposition from residents of an area south of ASU... The homeowners fear the buses will lead to more noise, fewer kids bicycling to school and more pollution where the buses will run on College Avenue... The city plans to spend $2.8 million on 43 new vehicles for the service...
