* Pakistan & Iran: To start bus service
Islamabad,Pakistan -The Times of India (New Delhi,India) -20 Apr, 2007: -- Pakistan and Iran agreed to start bus service to strengthen people-to-people contacts and provide modern travelling facilities to people of two countries, said Communications Minister Shamim Siddiqui... In first phase, a bus service from Quetta in Pakistan to Mashhad in Iran, will be introduced and agreement has been signed in Tehran, he said... Under international road transport agreement, Pakistan will be in position to link its land route to Central Asian republics and Turkey via Iran, while Iran will have extended land route cargo facilities via Pakistan for China, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan... About 100 buses will ply from Quetta to Zahedan in beginning...
