Town officials got a sneak peek Monday of the transit alternative that will be presented to the Rock Hill-Fort Mill Area Transportation Study policy committee at its May meeting later this month, from Lyn Purnell, one of the transportation consultants hired to perform a two-year feasibility study on mass transit in the county... The bus rapid transit system comes with a $511 million to $516 million price tag. Purnell said it would cost approximately $23 million per mile to build. However, the first phase of the project would cost $10 million to $15 million to install...
