DANGEROUS BUSES * Malaysia - Bus service operators in the state beware
Persekutuan,Malaysia -New Straits Times -15 May 2007: -- Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam wants them to ensure the road worthiness for their vehicles or risk having their bus routes taken over by PM Cultural & Tourism Sdn Bhd (PMCT), a subsidiary of the state government... PMCT operates Panorama Melaka busses and sells their daily bus passes at RM2. Its bus routes currently cover most of the tourist sites in the state... "Buses in the state look awful… There are old and I am not sure of the safety of the buses… I don't understand why the Road Transport Department (RTD) allowed such buses to be on the road," he said... The Chief Minister was commenting on the overturned bus incident in Ayer Keroh which had killed two passengers on Sunday...
