CONTROLS * USA - DMV finds 9 school buses unsafe
Norwich,CT,USA -The Norwich Bulletin, by JULIE A. VARUGHESE -18 May 2007: -- Nine school buses and three motorcoach buses inspected Tuesday at the Mystic Aquarium by the state Department of Motor Vehicles were cited for safety violations... Three of the school buses inspected were placed out of service: Two allegedly had faulty brakes and one allegedly had a flat tire. Ten violations were also found against drivers of the school buses, according to a DMV press release... The buses were operated by First Student Inc., whose clients include Norwich Public Schools; Laidlaw Transit Inc., whose clients include Bozrah, Franklin, Lisbon and Sprague; the New Britain Transportation Company; M&J Bus, which is based in Old Saybrook; and Winkle Bus Company Inc., which is based in West Haven...
