1,802 fatal mishaps in Delhi this year - While those involving Blueline buses are down compared to last year’s figures, private cars accounted for nearly as many accidents as trucks
New Delhi,India -Expressindia.com, by Anubhuti Vishnoi -Dec 12, 2006: -- Private cars, not Blueline buses, have been the real killers on Delhi roads. They have caused 212 fatal accidents up to November 30 this year, compared to 162 such mishaps last year... Private cars have in fact been involved in almost as many fatal accidents as trucks - which have caused 225 such mishaps this year compared to 205 last year...
