* Nepal - Kailali Locals Capture 12 Buses, Obstruct Mahendra Highway
Dhangadhi,Nepal -Himalayan Times (Kathmandu,Nepal) -Dec 9, 2006: -- The irate locals captured a dozen buses and disrupted traffic at Lamki-Chisapani road section on Mahendra Highway since Friday after a boy was killed in road mishap on Wednesday... Kaile Rawal of Baliya, was critically injured after being hit by a pick up van belonging to Dinesh Metals bound for Dhangadhi from Nepalgunj on Wednesday. She had died while undergoing treatment in Kohalpur Medical College the same day... The passenger buses, which locals took in control with help from Maoists on Thursday belong to Dinesh Travels. “The locals stopped the buses at Chisapani and forced the passengers to get off and captured 12 buses”...
