Off Road - USA - 2,100 school buses taken for inspections after fire
Columbia,SC,USA -WIS -July 3, 2006: -- More than 40 percent of the state's school buses will be checked for a mechanical problem that could cause a fire. The issue surfaced late last week when one of the rear-engine buses caught fire near Pontiac... Some call them Type-D and some call them "flat nose" buses. South Carolina has more than 2,100. They're all off the road for now while district mechanics around the state try to make sure no more of the vehicles burst into flames...
