Production - India - Isuzu to make buses with Swaraj
Bombay,India -Financial Express -July 3, 2006: -- Isuzu Motors Ltd, Japan's largest maker of light trucks, said it will start making buses in India in 2007 with Swaraj Mazda Ltd, its first entry into the Indian commercial-vehicle market... Isuzu will make and sell 100 buses in India next year, increasing it 10-fold to 1,000 buses by 2009... Swaraj Mazda is 41% owned by Sumitomo Corp, Japan's third-largest trading company. Isuzu will send parts of buses to India for assembly, according to its statement...
