Study - USA - Civic group shows most MTA buses arrive late
BALTIMORE,MD,USA -Examiner.com/The Examiner, by Ron Cassie -Jun 15, 2006: -- A four-month survey of nine bus lines, released Wednesday by a Baltimore civic organization, found that only 41 percent of the Maryland Transit Authority buses studied arrived within five minutes of their scheduled time... The Citizens Planning and Housing Association, a 65-year-old nonprofit, urged the MTA at a press conference to make whatever changes necessary — including seeking additional money from the state legislature — to improve on-time performance... The CHPA is asking the MTA to take four steps: closely supervise route performance; closely monitor on-time performance; review bus route running and layover times; and re-evaluate the new, longer routes... The study was a sample of experiences from 20 riders on 348 trips...
