To Fight Crime - USA - MAD DADS Board Buses
Minneapolis,MN,USA -CBS Broadcasting Inc/WCCO, by Karla Hult -Jun 12, 2006: -- A new FBI report said violent crimes in Minneapolis increased 35 percent in 2005. That is one of the highest increases in the United States and it is the largest increase of any other city in the Midwest... One local group, MAD DADS, is trying to stop the trend, which some call nothing short of alarming... The group is taking to the buses to try to make a difference... For the next 14 months, members of the Minneapolis MAD DADS organization will ride Metro Transit's Route 5 buses... The group plans to try to stop threatening behavior, while teaching the instigators a thing or two about how to treat others... The group will start riding the buses Monday night... Most cities the size of Minneapolis had their crime grown only about five percent...
