Youngsters have stepped up their opposition to plans to scrap their school bus services

Preston,England,UK -LancashireEvening Post -30 May 2006: -- More than 100 parents and pupils gathered outside one Preston school to make plain their anger at Lancashire County Council plans to axe a number of services... Armed with banners, they demonstrated outside Our Lady's Catholic High School on St Anthony's Drive in Fulwood, Preston... Their protests were over Lancashire County Council plans to scrap a number of subsidised bus services in the county, including the 549, 612 and 611 services. Deputy head teacher, Mike Fitzpatrick, said: "Because we're a catholic school, we take from a very wide catchment area and those families are dependent on the bus services"...
