Caledon,Ontario,Canada -Caledon Citizen, by ALAN LICZYK -May 31, 2006: -- Mtis Transit Ltd. will be allowed to operate a bus service within the Town of Caledon once it has obtained the appropriate licences and complied with the applicable provincial laws, Caledon council declared recently... Mtis Transit Ltd. has proposed three bus routes... Staff explained because the Premium Express route involves the operation of a public vehicle that includes taking on and discharging passengers in more than one municipality, Mtis Transit Ltd. will require an operating licence from the Ontario Highway Transport Board, according to the Public Vehicles Act... Staff added where the passengers are picked up and discharged wholly within the limits of one municipality, the bus service operator is required to comply with any bylaws enacted by the municipality...
