Growth leads to shortage - More than 1,200 new students drive demand for more transportation
Richland,SC,USA -The State S. Carolina's, by DEVON MARROW -May. 10, 2006: -- Richland 2 will likely join a handful of school districts in the state that have been forced to start leasing buses because of the state’s underfunded transportation system... The General Assembly is allocating $36.8 million to buy more than 600 buses for the state’s 6,000 bus fleet. For the most part, the new buses will be replacements for older buses...
