Purchases ? - USA - Fratturelli: Buses not profitable
LEOMINSTER,MA,USA -Fitchburg Sentinel (Fitchburg,MA), byMarisa Donelan -11 May 2006: -- School officials should begin shopping around to replace four district-owned buses with money from a revolving transportation fund, Superintendent Marilyn Fratturelli said... The district's four buses are used for field trips and sporting events, and bring in revenue for those services, Fratturelli said... But the district isn't profiting from any of its busing charges, she said... Mayor Dean Mazzarella said city and school officials have looked into purchasing a whole fleet of buses for the school district, but he is not certain that would be a viable solution to a busing money shortage... The initial cost of buying buses for the city may not be worth the risks, he said...
