Restrain - India - HC stays MTC from acquiring new buses
Chennai, Madras,India -Chennai Online News -Dec 6, 2005: -- The Madras High Court has restrained the Tamil Nadu government from acquiring new buses for its city fleet without obtaining permission of the court, on a petition from a person affected by cerebral palsy... The interim order was granted by a Division Bench, on a petition from Rajiv Rajan, coordinator of a disability unit of M/s Vidyasagar, previously called Spastics Society of India... The petitioner had sought the injunction to restrain the Metropolitan Transport Corporation from acquiring new buses without first inducting into its fleet user friendly buses, till disposal of the petition...
