BUSMAKERS NEWS * USA - Daimler adding 628 jobs in N.C.

High Point,NC,USA -The Business Journal -February 16, 2011: -- Daimler Trucks North America, parent company of High Point-based Thomas Built Buses, will bring back 628 workers at its two Gaston County plants to meet demand for Freightliner trucks... The biggest group — 474 employees — will be added to the assembly plant in Mount Holly. The additional jobs will more than double the work force to about 900 at the facility... A Freightliner parts and logistics plant in Gastonia is getting another 154 jobs...  Daimler Trucks assembles its over-the-road tractor trucks in Rowan County...
