Dayton,OH,USA -The Dayton Daily News, by Doug Page -February 13, 2011--  Robberies, assaults, drug dealing, disorderly conduct and weapons crimes decreased last year at the corner of Third and Main streets for the first time in four years...  Although the decrease was slight, Dayton police, the Greater Dayton RTA and the Downtown Dayton Partnership all point to the new off-street RTA hub and cooperation among various groups in cleaning up the corner for the drop in crime...  The Third and Main corner went into lock down, patrolled by uniformed Dayton officers and Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies. RTA picked up the overtime tab...  RTA opened its Wright Stop Plaza hub in September 2009 to handle 1,100 buses in a 21-hour-service day. Buses now stop at off-street platforms where passengers can wait in a heated and air-conditioned concourse, buy a cup of coffee or purchase a slice of pizza...  Riders also feel safer...
