NEW HYBRID BUSES FLEET * USA - School districts start receiving hybrid buses
Cadiz,KY,USA -AP/WBKO TV -Apr 11, 2010: -- Twenty-two public school districts in Kentucky are scheduled to receive a total of 34 hybrid electric school buses in August... Melissa M. Howell, executive director of the Kentucky Clean Fuels Coalition, last week gave a presentation on the buses during a Trigg County School Board meeting. Both Trigg and Todd counties are slated to receive a new hybrid bus... She says the state Department of Education received a $12.9 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to purchase the buses. In all, the state will have 213 hybrid buses, making Kentucky the state with the largest hybrid school bus fleet in the nation...
