Valparaiso,ILL,USA -The Post-Tribune, by JAMES D. WOLF JR. -April 8, 2010: -- The city unveiled its new fleet of buses on Wednesday, just outside City Hall... The four new ChicaGo Dash buses will go into service Monday, as required by the Federal Transit Authority... The new buses have seat belts, which are new to the industry, Kent said. Other new features include seven security cameras inside, a bike rack that can transport two bikes to the city, electronic destination signs on the buses' fronts and sides, and internal LED lighting. The agency's been awarded an alternative energy grant totalling $183,000. That money will help pay for new fuel storage tanks and biodiesel fuel blends for the BCIU's 180 buses...
