NEW BUSES FLEET * India - Marcopolo buses hit the road
Bangalore,India -Express News Service -4 Nov 2008: -- The long-awaited and much-talked about Tata Marcopolo buses have finally arrived in the City... The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has introduced two air-conditioned Tata Marco Polo buses in the city on a trial basis... The BMTC has received the two buses from Tata Marcopolo Motors plant in Lucknow... The low chassis, rear-engine Tata Marcopolo buses would be on a trial run for three to six months... * Punjab to get 50 more AC buses
Chandigarh,Punjab,India -The Times of India -5 Nov 2008: -- Punjab Government will induct 50 air conditioned buses to its fleet to enable the common man to travel in comfort at a nominal fare... Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal would flag off eight new buses in the second week of November from Mohali, Transport Minister Mohan Lal said... The minister said that 50 HVAC buses 25 each from Punjab Roadways and Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) would be pressed into service within three months...
