NEW BUSES FLEET * India - Of 5,000 new buses, 2,000 for Bangalore
Bangalore,India -The Times of India -1 Nov 2008: -- The transport department will add 5,000 buses to its fleet over the next year. BMTC will get a bigger share of 2,000 buses while North-East and North-West road transport corporations will get 3,000 buses... "Apart from fleet expansion, Marcopolo buses will hit the roads from November 2. The 45-seater Marcopolo bus costs Rs 55 lakh while a Volvo bus costs Rs 70 lakh. The former's operating cost is also much lower," transport minister R Ashok told reporters here on Friday...
