Announcement System * Canada - TransLink buses to get automated stop
Hamilton,Ontario,Canada -The Province/Canada.com -February 06, 2008: -- Bus riders can soon expect to hear automated voices announcing the next stop on many Coast Mountain buses in Metro Vancouver... TransLink is testing the system on more than 300 trolley and B-Line buses that tell passengers about upcoming stops using an "automatic annunciator"... The new board of directors approved a $3.2-million system at its meeting this week, meaning more than 1,300 buses run by Coast Mountain will be equipped and nearly 8,000 stops will be covered by the automated service...
