Green public transit is getting a lift from proposals to power buses with non-polluting hydrogen
Copenhagen,Sealand,Denmark -Jyllands-Posten newspaper/The Copenhagen Post -14 January 2008: -- Delegates to the 2009 UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen might well find themselves being transported in green buses. Green as in hydrogen-powered... Parties from both sides of the aisle have made proposals that would pave the way for the introduction of public transit that uses hydrogen as a pollution-free source of power in the country's major cities, reports... A number of European cities have carried out their own trial runs with hydrogen-powered busses, proving the technology works... The group suggests that funding for the project be split between the national government and private investors...
