BUSES' PURCHASES * India - 1000 more buses to be added
Haryana.Chandigarh,India -PTI/The Hindu -Oct 7, 2007: -- Over 1000 buses will be added to the Haryana Roadways fleet during the 11th Five-Year Plan to strengthen the public transport system in the state... This will increase the strength of Roadways bus fleet from 3500 to 4500, Haryana Transport Minister, Mange Ram Gupta, told... He said several agreements with neighbouring states would be finalised soon for increasing inter-state operations... The Minister said the state Transport Department would soon recruit 1910 conductors and 910 drivers to overcome the shortage of staff in the Department...
