The operation, named Goldfinger 2 has been launched to coincide with the start of the school term and will see officers from the Met's Transport Operational Command Unit (TOCU) on buses to reassure the public... Safer Neighbourhood Teams and Safer Transport Teams will also be deployed during daytime and early evenings across 20 boroughs, including Bromley, Bexley, Greenwich and Lewisham... Transport for London, who are funding the initiative, will also be providing Revenue Protection Officers to carry out static and mobile inspections to check for fare evasion and ensure passengers have paid the correct fare for their journey...Labels: buses' safety
