That's because the cost of new buses is expected to jump as much as 12 percent this year as a result of a new federal regulation requiring that all 2008 bus engines burn cleaner... Michael Leonard of Leonard Bus Sales in Deposit says he expects his price for a 66-passenger school bus to be between $83,000 and $93,000. That's a $9,000 increase from last year's range...
