York,SC,USA -The Rock Hill Herald (Rock Hill,SC), by Monica Chen -Jan 15, 2007 - When Adena Hamilton's 5-year-old daughter goes to school in the morning, she gets on a bus just a few feet from their Pelling Drive home... Hamilton, who often looks out the window as her daughter steps onto the bus, said Friday that this makes her feel safe. "It's so cold in the morning now. I like that after this stop, they go straight to the school," she said... But the state recently billed the York school district $45,000 for violations of state busing policies, and the district might have to stop picking up some young students close to or in front of their homes...
