Tuesday night at the regular school board meeting, the school board approved a recommendation from Business Manager Steve Shumaker and Transportation Director Bill Reichhart to buy the two buses from Kerlin Bus Sales, Silver Lake. The base price for the buses is $152,532, and the school will receive $7,000 credit for two buses that will be traded in. The total price the school will pay for the buses is $145,532...

Newark,NJ,USA -The Newark Star Ledger, by TOM FEENEY -Jan 24, 2007: -- NJ Transit will replace nearly half its fleet of buses over the next six years with 1,145 new vehicles it agreed to purchase yesterday at a cost of $433 million... The new buses, which the agency is buying from North American Bus Industries of Aniston, Ala., will have upgraded interiors and wheelchair lifts and other mobility aids. They will also use clean diesel technology that will reduce exhaust emissions to levels comparable to buses powered by natural gas...
