* UK - Greens groups fuming over buses running idle for a day
Edinburgh,Scotland,UK -The Scotsman, by MICHAEL BLACKLEY -22 Jan 2007: -- Enviromental campaigners have hit out at the city council after it used double decker buses as temporary shelters - and left the engines switched on spewing fumes all day... In order to keep the buses heated, the engines needed to be left idling - angering environmentalists who say that it is in contradiction to the city's own environmental policies... The station was closed ten days ago after huge chunks of debris came crashing down on to the bus concourse from a neighbouring building during storms...
