* USA - Schools cope with bus shortage
Pawleys Island,SC,USA -The Myrtle Beach Sun News (Myrtle Beach,SC), by Aliana Ramos -Nov. 04, 2006: -- Increased school bus ridership, growth and a shortage of bus drivers have forced Waccamaw Neck Elementary School to find creative ways to get children to and from home... On one bus route, students are driven home every day in shifts. At 2:35 p.m. a bus departs to take home the children who live closest to the school. The bus returns to the school at 2:53 p.m. to pick up a second group of students, who arrive home about 3:45 p.m., said Erick Gaddis, vice principal of Waccamaw Elementary School...
