Purchases - Canada - Saskatoon May Acquire New Buses
Saskatoon,Saskatchewan,CAN -Saskatoonhomepage.ca -5 Sept 2006: -- Spring 2007 could bring another change to Saskatoon's transit system brand new buses... City Council will vote tonight on a 5-million-dollar proposal for 12 new buses... Transit Manager, Jeff Balone says the current fleet is double the 15-year life span and replacements are necessary... The money for the purchase would come from federal funds and city reserves... If approved, Balone says the city will purchase a dozen low floor diesel buses, which help people with mobility problems to get on and off the transit...
