Safety - UK - Bring back conductors on bendy buses
UK -The Harrow Times -4 Sept 2006: -- A BRENT councillor is calling for the return of conductors to London's "bendy buses" following a rise in the number of emergecy alerts... A list of emergency "code reds" for antisocial behaviour shows that services 18 and 182 are among the 40 most dangerous bus routes... Councillor Daniel Bessong, a Liberal Democrat councillor for Wembley, said the figures were proof of a growing problem... "If this is deterring people from taking the bus because they feel intimidated, then putting Conductors back on the Buses in the only sensible thing to do."...
