Police - Israel - Seatbelt law won't be enforced on buses
Jerusalem,Israel -Jerusalem Post -Sep. 3, 2006: -- The law requiring seatbelts on school buses went into effect on Sunday. However, police announced that they would not fine drivers transporting children without seatbelts... The Police Traffic Department said that bus drivers should concentrate on what happens on the road and not on the bus. Meir Or, head of the police unit in charge of dealing with traffic accidents, admitted that the law as it stands was more likely to endanger than save lives...
